APPLICATIONS ARE NOT OPEN FOR 2026/27 - DO NOT TRY TO APPLY FOR SUPPORT. YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE VALID AND YOU WILL NEED TO REAPPLY ONCE APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN.

 

Applying For Financial Support

Students must be fully enrolled on their 2026/27 course before they can access the PayMyStudent system.

To apply for a bursary at Newcastle College, please read the eligibility criteria on the Student Support page and follow the steps below.

 

Important (New Students Only)

If you are a new student for 2026/27, you must complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) before submitting an application.

  • MFA can be completed 6 hours after enrolment.
  • You must complete MFA before using “Sign in with Microsoft” or the system will not recognise your login.

 

How to Submit an Application

Step 1: Log in by selecting “Sign in with Microsoft

Step 2: Select either Further Education or Higher Education questions*

Step 3: Complete all sections, upload all required evidence, read and accept the Terms and Conditions, and sign and submit your application.

 

*Which Application Questions Should You Choose?

Further Education (FE):
Select this if you are studying:

  • Level 1, 2 or 3 courses
  • ESOL
  • Functional Skills (Maths/English)
  • GCSE Maths or English

Higher Education (HE):
Select this if you are studying:

  • Level 4, 5 or 6 courses
  • Courses with fees between £9,535–£9,790 per year

NOTE: Evidence can be uploaded via your laptop/phone/tablet.

If you are a Returning Student who has already completed Multi-Factor Authentication select “Sign in with Microsoft”
 
If you are a New Student, you must complete Multi-Factor Authentication before selecting the “Sign in with Microsoft” option.
 
When you sign in with Microsoft you must enter your student email address in the following format: [email protected]
