Students must be fully enrolled on their 2025/26 course to use the PayMyStudent system.
To apply for a bursary at Newcastle College, ensure that you have read the eligibility criteria (details can be found here: Student Support) and then complete the following steps:
a) Enrolled Returning Students who applied for support in 2024/25 via PayMyStudent and received support:
Step 1: Log into your PayMyStudent account.
Step 2: Select Further Education Questions
Step 3: Complete all questions, upload all required evidence, read T&Cs and then sign and submit form.
b) Enrolled New Students or Students who did not receive a bursary in 2024/25:
Step 1: Complete the Multi-Factor Authentication process before registering for a PayMyStudent account - students will be able to complete this process 6 hours after enrolling.
Step 2: Register for a PayMyStudent account using the Student ID number, and date of birth. Activate the account by clicking on the activation link sent to your student email.
Step 3: Log into your PayMyStudent account.
Step 4: Select Further Education Questions or Higher Education (£9250/£9535 fee payers) Questions.
Step 5: Complete all questions, upload all required evidence, read T&Cs and then sign and submit the form.
Choose Further Education questions if you study:
Level 1, 2 or 3 courses including ESOL, Functional Skills Maths/English, GCSE Maths& English.
Choose Higher Education questions if you study:
Level 4, 5 or 6 courses, and pay fees of £9250/£9535 per year.
NOTE: Evidence can be uploaded via your laptop/phone/tablet.
